Do I need a permit to remove and reinstall my panels for a new roof?
Yes. Reconnecting an array is electrical work, so it needs an electrical permit and inspection through your local construction office, and New Jersey requires a licensed electrical contractor to do it. We take care of both.
How much does solar panel repair cost?
It depends on the fault. A loose connection costs far less than a new string inverter, and many failed microinverters and optimizers are still under warranty, which leaves mostly labor. You’ll get a quote before any work starts.
What should I do if my panels stop working after a nor'easter?
Stay off the roof and check your monitoring app for alerts. Then call us for an inspection, and contact your homeowners insurance, since storm damage is usually handled through your policy.
Do you service solar systems in North Jersey?
Yes. We’re based in Haddonfield, but we service systems statewide, including Bergen, Essex, Morris, and Union counties.
Does my utility need to approve a repaired system?
Not for like-for-like repairs. If an upgrade changes your system’s size or adds battery storage, your utility may need to approve it, and we handle that paperwork.
